I am so bad at keeping up to date

As I am taking time to look at my friends blog, I realize it has been a month since I posted. I knew I would be able to post everyday like she does. But, I thought I would do better than once a month. Oh well!
I remember 2 weeks ago wanting to post because I was driving in my car (which I do a lot, chauffeuring kids around) and singing. Now I know (more than some American idol audition-ies) that I can't sing to save my life! But, I love it so much, I can't even put it into words. I memeorize songs really fast. I can remember belting out Madonna, Janet Jackson & Paula Abdul songs when I was little. I am sure my grandma was so tired of them, but, I remembered every word. Now, I listen to almost every genra of music and the same is true. With mostly just the kids in the car, I sing constently. I feel such a release. I can feel my whole mood change in just one song. It makes my day better in just that one little trip across town. I know most people don't know that because I know I sound aweful. I would never subject anyone to it! haha, Funny that something that would be so aweful for everyone else could make me so much better!
Post to ya' soon! ;0)

Racing

I am so proud of Dylan for getting the hole shot last weekend and not being afraid at all of his new fast bike. He ended up with a 4th place trophy and was very happy about it. There was snow on the ground, it was 36 degrees and very slippy. All things considered a 4th place was awesome. He is really very good. I hope that he continues to do well and likes it as much in the future as he does now. I am thankful that Jeremy has an outlet both in his racing and working on D's bike and helping him become a better rider. I am glad that he has something to look forward to. I can't imagine what we would do all of the time if we didn't race and go camping. Of course there would be more time for friends and relatives, but, do you all have anytime for us!? I feel like I am flying through the weeks and can't hardly get a grip on any one thing. But as I talk to my friends and family it seems we are all in the same boat. No matter what our "one thing" is, that "one thing" drives us and carries us day in and day out without any time to take a breath. As soon as the day begins it is time to make dinner and get the kids to bed again. Many people ask me if I like going to the races every weekend. I really do! I am excited by it, and I love cheering for our friends, too!

lazy sunday

I am so used to running around in circles or having a ton of show to watch on my DVR that I hardly know what to do when I have a free afternoon. Of course, I could be cleaning of my desk. But Since I have the laptop and I don't have to be in the office, hhaa, let it collect some dust. Jeremy and I tried to take Dylan somewhere this morning so he could ride his new dirtbike with his friend Josh. But after a few different locations didn't pan out to ride at, we went home and everyone took a nap.
It was a late night for everyone last night, well late for us! The kids stayed home with Nana and cousin Colby came over while Tom, Tracy, Jeremy & I went to the Dirtbike club Christmas Party. Funny to have a Christmas party in February, but with race schedules and other holiday gatherings it is easier to get everyone together now. We filled half of a really good restaurant in town. And though I didn't know half the people there, I felt myself in great company. Most of my friends that I am closest to these days were there. I have to say that they are all really awesome. If I haden't been so tired I could have stayed up all night talking and drinking with them. (I didn't have a hangover today, so it was probably good we left when we did) I am thankful for such great friends.
Next weekend the we have a race to go to. It is at one of the furthest locations. It take 4 1/2 hours to get there. The kids have friday and monday off so we won't have to rush to get there before dark friday night or rush back after Jeremy's race sunday. I am hoping to take some video of Dylan. I will depend on if it is pouring down rain, how nervous I am and how much of the course we can see. I'll post whatever I get. Wish us luck!
I hope eveyone is doing well. I'll try to blog more regularly, so everyone can keep up with our lives.

it's all over, waaahhh!

All that work and now Christmas is done. I spent all of yesterday organizing toys and cleaning. I only took one break to get a drawer organizer at Target. At least I had my New Season of Grey's Anatomy to keep me company. Dylan went to work with Daddy and Karlie hung out with Nana.
So here are some pictures from our big day:Patiently, or not patiently waiting at the top of the stairs at 6:00. Dylan had woken up at 5:10am and I made him stay in bed till then.

Karlie got a shirt for her and her twinn doll and a reindeer bell from Santa

Dylan got an R/C car from Santa + 2 more from loving family members, good thing too because Santa's car goes through batteries in about 5 mins. The others last a little longer.

Stocking stuffers were next and last until we went to my Sister (in-laws) house. But they were happy with that.

Then we went to Tracy's and had breakfast and then a lot of gifts. Colby lasted in his big man outfit for about an hour. He was so proud when he came down the stairs with his tie on! We took pics of baby Carson inside his stocking, but I don't have them. I will have to post them when I receive them, so cute.

I have no idea what is up with my kids "big fake" smiles. Wierdos!
After we opened gifts for 2 1/2 hrs, we made our Christmas dinner ( quickly, because we had lost track of time) Jeremy, Karlie, Dylan and I had to be at my moms around 4. We ate there around 7 and opened gifts. After loaded the car with all our loot and saying our goodbyes we left around 8:30. A long and tiring day. We all got lots of gift and were thankful to spend time with our big family.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

PICTURES

So my lovely sister-in-law, Olivia and my brother-in-law, Matt have a gift and lovely camera that captures my kids in a great way. This is my fav picture right now, so i want to share it with everyone. And, to thank them for taking great pics. Too bad it doesn't work on me. Some how I hate ever pic ever taken of me except my wedding pics. And that was 6 years ago. Not the best pics to share cause they are soooooooooooo old. hehehehe. Enjoy my fav pic for now. MAYBE someday you will actually see a pic of me!

Christmas Vacation

So my kids, both being in school, get a christmas vacation. In this crazy town we live in, that vacation is 3 weeks long. So tomorrow is their last day of school, hence, my last day with free time to run errands (buy them christmas gift). Not that I have any money to buy gifts with, but all the same it is a little stressful. I hope I can keep my sanity and find lots of (cheap)things to do to keep them busy. Wish me luck!

busy busy busy

So....I know everyone of us is busy, so I am claiming that as why I haven't had any new posts lately. Soon after I made my blog spot, I fractured my tailbone. So it is sort of hard to sit infront of a computer. Not to mention all of the normal daily things I have to do and My sister-in-law had a planned c-section and welcomed Carson Thomas Erskine into the world on November 19th. Lucky for me, Jeremy got me a laptop for my birthday and as of an hour ago I have wireless internet. I only hope this doesn't make me lazy. I can say that you can expect to see many more blogs (including pictures, how about that) from me! Well, I hope you are all now very excited and anticipating you next story and pictures from The Cowell Family! TTFN
Here is a pic of carson with me!

Almost.........

..........Friday.
Today is the day I always here "do we have school tomorrow?" It's amazing how the kids feel the same way about the week ans us Adults do. That yearning for friday starts young, huh! We will be going away to a race this weekend. It is one of our favorite places to camp and the race is a "family enduro" so nothing to worry about. I am glad we have been going away every weekend because my trailer is still here and I am sort of in a packing groove. It will be a good weekend.

The Days roll by....

....so fast. It is getting dark and I just got done with dinner. I am ready for Fall but I guess not for the shortness of days! There isn't enough time as it is, and with the sun going down so much earlier I feel like I am lossing even more of those precious minutes. I guess I will read the kids their books, and hope to fit more in tomorrow!
